Urban Agriculture

In May of 2023, the Town established its first urban garden in partnership with MicroHabitat Urban Farming and the Stony Plain Golf Course to produce food locally and educate the community on how they can do the same.

Located at 18 Fairway Drive, Stony Plain, the urban garden includes a variety of fruits, vegetables, herbs, and flowers that will be donated to local food banks and non-profit organizations. Stony Plain's urban garden is one of the first initiatives that implements and supports efforts to increase education on and action towards urban agriculture.
