2025 Municipal Election: Advance Voting Opportunities Begin October 8

STONY PLAIN, AB: Can’t make it to the voting locations on October 20? Stony Plain residents can cast their ballots early during Advance Voting Days, running from October 8 through October 18. Residents can also apply for a Special Ballot if they are unable to attend in person.

Advance voting locations and times are:

Stony Plain Community Centre (5008 51 Avenue)

• Wednesday, October 8 | 4 to 8 PM
• Friday, October 10 | 1 to 6 PM
• Tuesday, October 14 | 1 to 6 PM

Heritage Park (5100 41 Avenue)

• Thursday, October 16 | 4 to 8 PM
• Saturday, October 18 | 10 AM to 4 PM

Eligible voters who cannot vote in person may apply for a Special Ballot by contacting Town Hall via phone, email, mail, or in person. Applications must be submitted no later than October 17 at 4:30 PM and completed Special Ballots must be returned to Town Hall by October 20 at 4:30 PM to be counted.

“Advance Vote Days and Special Ballots are convenient ways to take part in the election if you’re busy or away on Election Day,” says Returning Officer Teresa Olsen. “Whether you vote early, vote by mail, or vote on October 20, you can ensure your voice is heard.”

Eligible voters must bring acceptable ID when casting their ballot.
