2025 Municipal Election: Special Ballots Available Soon

STONY PLAIN, AB: Can’t make it to a voting station? No problem. Special Ballot applications open on August 1 and are available for any eligible elector unable to vote on Advance Voting Days or Election Day. Apply by phone, email, mail, or in person by October 17, 2025, at 4:30 PM.

Completed Special Ballot packages must be returned to Town Hall by 4:30 PM on October 20 to be counted. Your vote, your voice! Special Ballots are an easy and accessible way to ensure your voice is heard.

“We want every eligible voter to have the opportunity to participate in the 2025 Municipal Election,” says Returning Officer Teresa Olsen. “Special Ballots are a convenient and accessible option for residents who may be away, have mobility challenges, or simply prefer to vote from home.”

The 2025 Municipal Election will take place on Monday, October 20, 2025. The nomination period for candidates remains open until noon on September 22, 2025.
