Artist & Culture Days - September 2023

WHEREAS the Town of Stony Plain recognizes the vital contribution of artists to the social, economic and cultural fabric of the community; and

WHEREAS Stony Plain is home to a diverse range of creative and talented artists; and

WHEREAS the Town of Stony Plain values the diversity in the work of artists who, being of all ages and backgrounds, reflect our diverse cultural mosaic; and

WHEREAS the accomplishments and contributions of these individuals does much to enhance the quality of life we enjoy; and

WHEREAS the Proclamation of the Month of the Artist gives residents of Stony Plain the opportunity to celebrate the contributions of artists to the community.

THEREFORE, I, Mayor William Choy of the Town of Stony Plain, do hereby proclaim the month of September 2023 to be the Month of "Artist & Cultural Days".
