Collision Involving Accessible Transportation Services Vehicle

STONY PLAIN, AB: The Town of Stony Plain is aware of a collision involving an Accessible Transportation Services (ATS) bus earlier this afternoon. The incident occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Highway 16A, just east of Spruce Grove.

The bus, returning from Edmonton, was involved in a head-on collision with a half-ton truck travelling eastbound in the westbound lanes. At the time of the collision, two passengers and one driver were on board the ATS vehicle.

Emergency services, including RCMP and ambulance personnel, responded to the scene and are managing the situation.

The Town of Stony Plain extends its concern to those involved and will continue to cooperate fully with emergency services and the ongoing investigation. Updates may be provided as more information becomes available.
