Corporate Plan 2027-2029 Meeting Highlights for November 2-4, 2026

STONY PLAIN AB: The Recommended 2027-2029 Corporate Plan is now moving toward final approval on November 23, following the Corporate Plan public meetings Monday and Tuesday this week. Council completed a review of the Plan and discussed Administration’s recommendations over the course of two evenings.

Serving as the Town’s three-year roadmap, the Corporate Plan sets out the resources and priorities to guide Town services, processes, and projects. The Plan also provides a ten-year capital plan to outline infrastructure investment and support community development. The Corporate Plan aims to achieve outcomes outlined in the Town’s Strategic Plan and is based on the vision and framework of the Municipal Development Plan.

“The Recommended 2027–2029 Corporate Plan demonstrates our commitment to Council’s strategic direction, ensuring Stony Plain continues to be intentional about the growth that has and is anticipated to occur. Council’s deliberation of the Plan ensures our alignment to address what is needed for the community,” says Town Manager Tom Goulden. “Guiding the community forward requires significant investments with intentional growth planning, ensuring organizational capacity, and strengthening fiscal capacity. The completion of these public meetings supports thoughtful decision-making as we continue building a resilient, well-managed community”.
