Council Approves the Strategic Plan Update

STONY PLAIN, AB: Town Council approved an update to the 2023-2026 Strategic Plan during yesterday’s meeting. The Strategic Plan represents the Town’s forward-thinking efforts to achieve Council’s vision for the future of Stony Plain and ensure its leadership remains focused on key priorities and opportunities facing the community.

The Strategic Plan is reviewed and updated on an annual basis. It provides a framework for Town operations, utilizing evidence-based decision-making processes when considering service provision and financial commitments related to municipal partnerships, economic resilience, infrastructure improvement, community development, and environmental sustainability. These priority areas bridge Council’s vision to tangible goals and actions which enhance the future of Stony Plain.

“Council is committed to advancing the Strategic Plan to build and enhance Stony Plain for our current and future residents,” says Mayor William Choy. “We are excited to continue working alongside residents, businesses, and our Tri-Municipal Region partners to enhance our quality of life.”
