TransAlta Tri Leisure Centre Presents 2024 Operating Budget

The TransAlta Tri Leisure Centre presented its 2024 Operating Budget to Council. The Town of Stony Plain's municipal contribution request for 2024 is $782,529 of $3,184,283. This request will be included in the 2024-2026 Corporate Plan for consideration.

Stony Plain Housing Accelerator Fund Action Plan Presented to Council

Council has approved The Stony Plain Housing Accelerator Fund (HAF) Action Plan and its seven initiatives as presented by Administration. The program is designed to invest in affordable housing, housing-related infrastructure, community-related infrastructure that supports housing and Housing Accelerator Fund action plans.

Year End Financial Trend Report Highlights Ten-Year Trends

The annual year end financial trend report was presented to Council last night. The report provides an overview of key financial indicators and trends over a ten-year period. This annual report provides guidance for financial decision-making in the corporate planning process.

2023 Tax Recovery Public Auction Terms and Conditions

Council has approved the Terms and Conditions of Sale for the 2023 Public Auction. As per the Municipal Government Act (MGA), municipalities are required to prepare a tax arrears list showing parcels of land with tax arrears in excess of one year as of March 31. Any parcel of land shown on the 2022 tax arrears list which remains in arrears as of March 31, 2023 must be offered for sale at public auction in the year following the registration.

The 2023 Public Auction is scheduled for November 30 at 10AM in the Town Office Council Chambers.
