Dog Rump Creek Disc Golf Course Grand Opening at Rotary Park

STONY PLAIN, AB: Celebrate the grand opening of the Dog Rump Creek Disc Golf Course at Rotary Park on Sunday, June 14 from 2 PM to 4 PM. 

The event will include a disc golf tutorial, free pretzels provided by the Pretzel Shack, and opportunities to try the course. Free discs will be given away during the grand opening event while quantities last. 

Located on the west side of Rotary Park, the course is free to use and open to the public. The course is maintained by Parkland Disc Golf and offers a new outdoor recreation activity for residents and visitors of all skill levels to enjoy. The course is available on a walk-on basis, and does not require booking. Residents are reminded to bring their own discs.

“I’m excited to celebrate the opening of Dog Rump Creek Disc Golf Course with Parkland Disc Golf,” says Mayor William Choy. “The course is a great addition to Rotary Park, and gives residents another way to get outside, connect with each other, and enjoy one of our wonderful outdoor community spaces.”

“This course is the result of a great partnership between the Town and Parkland Disc Golf,” says Jerry George, Manager of Programs and Services. “We’re excited to officially welcome everyone to the Dog Rump Creek Disc Golf Course. I’m looking forward to introducing residents to this new space, just in time to enjoy it all summer. Regardless of your skill level, I encourage everyone to stop by the grand opening event. Learn about disc golf, enjoy a snack, and try out the course.”
