Explore The Power of Community at Stony Plain’s Nourishing Connections

STONY PLAIN, AB: Join the Town of Stony Plain for an evening of inspiration and growth with Nourishing Connections! On January 29, from 6 PM to 8:30 PM at Heritage Park, explore how simple everyday interactions can build confidence, resilience and a stronger sense of belonging.

This Nourishing Connections event provides a welcoming space for diverse voices to unite and share their experiences. The event encourages meaningful conversation and relationship building, helping strengthen social support networks and fostering an inclusive, connected community.

“The ‘Nourishing Connections’ initiative exemplifies our dedication to cultivating a strong, resilient community,” says Mayor William Choy. “This event captures the essence of Stony Plain in a welcoming space where connections are embraced, and residents experience the power of community.”

The evening will feature GenWell, a national non-profit organization dedicated to educating and empowering human connection for the health, happiness and wellbeing of everyone in the community.

Youth ages 13 to 17 are invited to a pre-event from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM, offering a space to come together, share perspectives and make their voices heard.

“Nourishing Connections promises an engaging evening where youth and community members come together for meaningful conversations that foster belonging and connection,” says Community Development Officer Lara Stadnyk.
