Farmers’ Days Rodeo and Exhibition 2025
STONY PLAIN, AB: The Town of Stony Plain and the Stony Plain Kinsmen Club are excited to announce the return of the much-anticipated 2025 Farmers’ Days Rodeo and Exhibition, taking place May 30 through June 1 at Heritage Park. Get ready for three action-packed days filled with excitement, entertainment, and community spirit!
It’s simply not summer in Stony Plain without Farmers’ Days! This beloved annual tradition offers something for everyone with an incredible lineup of attractions, including the Kinsmen Rodeo, midway rides, West Parkland Gas Co-op Parade, Mayor and Council’s Pancake Breakfast, Kids Korral, Kinsmen Saloon, market, live entertainment, and a wide selection of food vendors. The festivities kick off on Friday, May 30, with midway rides opening at 3 PM, setting the tone for a weekend of fun. Saturday, May 31, begins bright and early with the Mayor and Council Pancake Breakfast, served at the Glenn Hall Centennial Arena from 7 AM to 9 AM. A perfect way to start the day, breakfast tickets are priced to be family-friendly: adults: $5, teens and seniors: $3, youth: $2, and children under 5 are free. Following breakfast, make your way to the streets to catch the West Parkland Gas Co-op Parade starting at 10 AM—a highlight of the weekend that brings the whole community together. At 1 PM, the rodeo grounds open with the first performance scheduled for 2 PM. Rodeo tickets will be available for purchase at the arena gates.
“Farmers’ Days is Stony Plain’s favourite event of the year! It’s all about fun and making lasting memories with family and friends,” says Lori Van Dommelen, Event Coordinator. “The Kids Korral and Parkland Pioneer Museum are perfect for little ones who might be too small for the rides but still want to join in the fun with their families. The parade route is the same as in 2024, and we’re excited to welcome a variety of entries this year, including a marching band, military groups, equestrian entries, and some returning fan favourites.”
“The Stony Plain Kinsmen Club is excited to host the rodeo again this summer! This year, be sure to keep a look out for our little mutton busting riders as they will be entertaining during rodeo intermissions,” says Derek Roberts, President of the Stony Plain Kinsmen Club. “After that, come enjoy some amazing live entertainment at the Kinsmen Saloon.”
“Farmers’ Days is one of my favourite times of the year. Where else can you flip pancakes at sunrise, cheer on a rodeo, and dance to live music all in one weekend?” says Mayor Choy. “This event is a longstanding tradition that highlights the strong sense of community and pride we share in Stony Plain. Bring your friends, bring your appetite, and get ready for some fun!
The Town is once again offering free Park N’ Ride services which will be provided at various locations throughout the community with pick ups every half hour. Parking will not be available at the Glenn Hall Centennial Arena or at Heritage Park. The Park N’ Ride service will be running throughout the weekend.
