Heritage Agricultural Society 


At last nights Council Meeting, The Heritage Agricultural Society presented an overview of the 2026 operations for the Red Brick Common. The Society is a non-profit that supports, preserves and celebrates the rich heritage and community spirit of Stony Plain. 


The Red Brick Common serves as a cornerstone for arts, culture and community programing in the town. It is a vibrant facility, an important landmark and designated Provincial Historical Resource. 


Council accepted the presentation for information. 

 

Parkland Poets’ Society 


Last night, the Parkland Poets’ Society presented to Council regarding an overview and update on their projects. Founded in 2018, the Parkland Poets’ Society serves to bring more poetry into the community. Notably, The Society hosts two poetry readings every month that are free of charge and open to everyone. 


Recently, the Parkland Poets’ Society was a recipient of the Town’s Placemaking Grant, which supported a sidewalk poetry art project and the installation of a free little poetry library near the Stony Plain Outdoor Pool. 


Council accepted the presentation for information.
