Highway 779 Update - July 8

Alberta Transportation has provided the following update on Highway 779 Construction:

Line painting will continue this Friday and Saturday, between Willow Park Road North and 55 Avenue, on both the north and southbound lanes.

Crews will pave the 7-11 access off 48 Street and the middle access at Park House Center on Monday, July 12.

Grading work in the boulevard on the west side of 48 Street, between 55 and 53 Avenue, will take place Monday, July 12 and Tuesday, July 13.

Milling and paving of the northbound lanes, between 55 and 49 Avenue, will start on Wednesday, July 14. It is anticipated the work will take 7-10 days to complete. During this time traffic will be moved to the southbound lanes, with one lane of travel in each direction. The work will also result in temporary closures of the accesses and intersections along the northbound lanes and the implementation of detours.
