Highway 779 Update - September 9

Alberta Transportation has provided the following update on the Highway 779 construction project.

Crews completed paving the final lift of asphalt on the project on Tuesday, September 7. Line painting will resume on Saturday, September 11 and continue through the week end and into early next week as needed. Temporary, localized lane closures will be in place.

Crews will be adjusting manholes and water valves in the roadway between 55 and 49 Avenue on Thursday, September 9, Friday, September 10 and Saturday, September 11 (if necessary). Temporary, localized lane closures will be in place.

Crews will be on site Friday, September 10 hydroseeding the boulevards and landscaped areas, between 55 and 47 Avenue. There will be temporary, localized lane and sidewalk closures in place to accommodate the work.

Crews will be on site throughout next week installing permanent signing throughout the project limits.
