Kinsmen Club of Stony Plain Sponsor New Community Bulletin Board
A series of community bulletin boards are being installed around Stony Plain. The latest addition to the project is sponsored by the Kinsmen Club of Stony Plain and has been installed at Golf Course Road and 44 Avenue.
The addition of new community bulletin boards is part of Stony Plain’s Signage Strategy, an ongoing initiative to establish branding and a unified vision for Stony Plain. Each bulletin board includes space for community postings as well as sections for advertisements and Town-related updates.
“The new bulletin boards aim to improve communication throughout the community and establish an easily accessible space where residents can get connected and learn more about local happenings,” says Senior Communications Officer Stephanie Barsby Boisvert. “By concentrating postings to a community bulletin board, we can create a single hub and gathering place for community-based communication.”
“Community bulletin boards are a great way for residents and businesses to raise awareness of local events, programs, and promotions around Stony Plain. This latest addition is sponsored by the Kinsmen Club of Stony Plain, and we are grateful for their continued dedication to enhancing our community and we are thankful for their sponsorship of this sign along Golf Course Road at 44th Avenue,” says Mayor William Choy. “Next time you are out for a walk, stop by a bulletin board and check out what is going on in your neighbourhood!”
“The Kinsmen Club of Stony Plain is a proud partner with the Town on this special project. The Kinsmen is honoured to continue to serve our community’s greatest needs,” says Stony Plain Kinsmen Club President Ron Matiejewski.
KinCanada celebrated 100 years of service back in 2020 and continue to serve communities across the country. The Kinsmen Club of Stony Plain plays an active role in supporting residents through a variety of programs and events, including the annual Christmas Hampers that support over 650 families in the region and the annual Farmers’ Days in partnership with the Town of Stony Plain.
