Local Businesses Invited to Adopt a Barrel for the 2026 Season

STONY PLAIN, AB: The Town of Stony Plain is inviting local businesses to participate in the 2026 Adopt-a-Barrel program. For a $50 fee, businesses can adopt a seasonal flower barrel and help bring colour and vibrancy to downtown and business areas throughout the community.

With 50 barrels available for the 2026 season, the program offers local businesses a simple way to support community beautification and help create welcoming spaces for residents, visitors, and customers.

“Programs like Adopt-a-Barrel help strengthen community pride and contribute to the vibrancy of Stony Plain’s business areas,” said Mayor William Choy. “I encourage local businesses to consider taking part in this year’s program.”

“Adopt-a-Barrel is a great way for local businesses to take part in helping enhance Stony Plain’s public spaces,” said Darcy Carter, Manager of Parks and Roads. “We’re looking forward to building awareness of the program and encouraging more businesses to get involved in 2026.”
