STONY PLAIN, AB – Following another fun-filled evening on July 17, the Town of Stony Plain is gearing up for the grand finale of the 2025 Midsummer Thursdays season. The final event in the series will take place on Thursday, August 21 from 5 to 8 PM, and promises to deliver an unforgettable evening filled with live entertainment, local flavours, and family-friendly fun in the heart of downtown Stony Plain.

“Each Midsummer Thursdays event has brought our community together in such a vibrant and meaningful way,” says Chantelle Laberge, Culture and Tourism Development Officer. “The energy, the creativity, the smiles on people’s faces—this is what summer in Stony Plain is all about!”

Food lovers, take note! The culinary scene continues to be one of the biggest draws. The August 21 vendor lineup includes favourites like El Mero Mero Taqueria, MerMosSa Pinoy Food Truck, Sheeba Streetfeed, Fries with That, Bakerstreet Eats, Gentea Bubble Tea, Little B’s Real Fruit Ice Cream, Chatter’s Pizza & Cafe, Fresh Grill, Great North Cookie Company, Maverick’s Donuts, Pretzel Shack, and Twisted Charcuterie. Many downtown restaurants will also offer special menu items, with both outdoor and indoor seating available for a perfect summer dining experience.

Then, get ready for an electrifying evening of music and entertainment! The main stage will come alive with performances by David “Jukebox” Leigh, Mike Chenoweth, and Curtis Haracsi, each bringing their own unforgettable sound and show-stopping style, this lineup is guaranteed to keep the energy high and the good vibes rolling all evening long.

To keep the fun going throughout the evening are interactive entertainers and activities including Caricatures by Simon, The Bees Knees Facepainting, axe throwing inflatable, and roaming appearances by a Minion and a dragon from Marvelous Mascots are guaranteed to spark smiles and create magical moments for guests of all ages.

Downtown businesses and vendors will take over Main Street in a vibrant, market-style setup. From handcrafted goods and retail specials to live demos and interactive activities, this is the perfect chance to shop local and experience the best of Stony Plain’s business community.
