Preparing for more rain

More rain is in the forecast for Stony Plain, so let’s get prepared. Here are a few important things you can do to help keep the rainfall flowing and our people and properties safe during the next few days –

• Check your eavestroughs and sump pumps are working properly
• Use caution when travelling on roads, trails, and sidewalks where water is pooling or flowing
• Stay a safe distance from stormwater ponds, creeks, and flowing water
• Reduce your non-essential water use (ie: showers, laundry, or car washing), this can help our wastewater system function well and protect property
