NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR BYLAW 2663/RC/22

Brickyard Stage 5 Road Closure Bylaw

MONDAY, August 22, 2022 at 5:00 p.m.

Town of Stony Plain Council Chambers 4905-51 Avenue

Town of Stony Plain Council will hold a public hearing for the purpose of hearing submissions regarding the closure of a portion of Brickyard Drive to facilitate the development of Brickyard Stage 5 and the completion of Brickyard Drive.

Purpose of Bylaw 2663/RC/22 Brickyard Stage 5 Road Closure

The original design for Brickyard Drive included flares for future extensions of the local road network to ensure the appropriate underground and road infrastructure can be constructed and allow for an easy continuation of the servicing for the next stage of a development.

The new subdivision design for this area orientates residential development onto Brickyard Drive with rear lane access. This allows for the removal of the local road flare. Administration is proposing to close this portion of Brickyard Drive to endorse the proposed subdivision and facilitate this development.
