Atim Creek Business Park Area Structure Plan Receives First Reading 

At last night’s meeting, Council gave first reading to Bylaw 2734/D&P/26, the proposed Atim Creek Business Park Area Structure Plan. If adopted, the plan would guide future development for lands north of Highway 16A, with employment-focused uses that include commercial and industrial development west of Atim Creek and mixed-use opportunities to the east.

Council also authorized Administration to proceed with a public hearing on May 11, 2026.

Land Use Bylaw Update Receives First Reading

Council gave first reading to the proposed 2026 Land Use Bylaw update and authorized Administration to proceed with a public hearing on May 11, 2026. The annual update includes administrative changes intended to improve clarity and support more consistent application of the bylaw, with revisions related to signs, yard and lot regulations, road standards, and development permit requirements.

Strategic & Corporate Plan Q1 2026 Report

Council accepted the Strategic & Corporate Plan Q1 2026 Report for information. The quarterly report provides an update on progress made toward key actions and results identified in the Town’s Strategic and Corporate Plans. Administration noted that the 2026–2029 Strategic Plan, approved on March 23, 2026, will be incorporated into future reports, with the next update scheduled for July 2026.
