Community and Social Development Gives Update on the Roots of Hope Initiative

During last night’s Council meeting, the Town of Stony Plain’s Community and Social Development department (CSD) presented its Roots of Hope Community Report as part of its Mental Wellness Update. CSD began work on the Roots of Hope Early Adopters project in 2021 in partnership with the Canadian Mental Health Commission of Canada.

The objective of the Roots of Hope initiative is to "Reduce the impact of suicide in the Tri-Municipal Region by increasing awareness and leveraging the strength of local resources."
