Requests for Support During Alberta Wildfires

The Town of Stony Plain and the Fire Department specifically have received a number of offers of support for our neighbouring communities during the wildfire crisis.  We appreciate the offer to help, however, in emergencies of this magnitude it is important that we clearly understand the needs required and allow the formalized channels to react to those needs.  Requests for Town or resident support will come from the Albert Emergency Management Agency (AEMA) or the municipalities impacted. The AEMA has the Town’s contact information and will reach out to us should they require municipal supports. If we are requested by AEMA to provide any supports, we will communicate our role and any requests being asked for through our social media channels and website.
