Road Work Ahead! Stony Plain Construction Forecast

STONY PLAIN, AB: The Town of Stony Plain is working to improve conditions and longevity of Town-owned roads through restoration, preservation, and rehabilitation. Here is your forecast on road construction for the 2024 season:

• 43 Avenue from Southpark Drive to 28 Street – June 17 to July 4
• 47 Avenue from 50 Street to 48 Street (Hwy 779) – June 19 to June 28
• Golf Course Road from Fairways Drive to the CN tracks – July 2 to July 25
• 50 Street from 56 Avenue to South limits and 54 Avenue to 56 Avenue – July 8 to August 2

“Investing in our infrastructure is essential for the growth and safety of our community. These road projects are crucial for ensuring smooth transportation and enhancing the quality of life for our residents. We appreciate your patience and cooperation during the construction period,” says Mayor William Choy.

Please be mindful of construction workers and equipment when traveling through work zones. For everyone's safety, observe all posted signage and reduce your speed. Construction activities will primarily occur between 7 AM and 7 PM. Let's work together to ensure a safe environment for both workers and residents.
