Shop Local and Win with Passport to Prizes

Explore Stony Plain businesses for a chance to win! Passport to Prizes is returning June 17 to 25. Visit participating businesses to collect passport stamps and be entered into the running to win locally sourced prizes.

Passport to Prizes is a local shopping initiative with the Town of Stony Plain and local businesses. The event originated as ‘Passports to Paradise’ in 2019 and to date, the shopping campaign has been expanded to include over 40 businesses. Stamps are collected at businesses throughout the community to fill a contest passport that can be submitted for a chance to win one of many locally sourced prize packages.

“Stony Plain is home to several unique local businesses. Passport to Prizes works to showcase our business community, promote local shopping, and draw both residents and visitors to Stony Plain stores,” says Mayor William Choy.

“Passport to Prizes is an opportunity for residents to explore local shops and get connected to Stony Plain’s business community,” says Culture and Tourism Development Officer Chantelle Laberge. “It’s a great example of how the Town and local businesses can work together to promote local shopping and engage the community.”

Shoppers can pick up a contest passport at any participating business beginning June 3. All passports – whether complete or not – can be submitted into the draw, but only completed passports will be eligible for the grand prize. All passports need to be handed in by June 28, 2022.
