Snow Removal Update- January 13, 2026

The recent warm temperatures have created hazardous conditions throughout town. Crews are widening walking trails and applying rock chips; however, melting during the day results in a new layer of ice forming overnight. Residents choosing to walk outdoors are encouraged to use cleats and a walking stick or ski pole for added stability. Free indoor walking is available at Heritage Park. A complimentary sand–salt mixture is also available outside the Public Works yard at 4505 50 Ave; please bring a container and scoop.

A contractor was added to support Residential Snow Removal. Their smaller equipment has slowed progress, so they will be reassigned to smaller neighbourhoods where maneuverability is limited. With all collector roads now cleared, all crews will focus on residential areas.

Crew 1 Completed Graybriar and will move into South Creek on January 14th.

Crew 2 will continue in Old Town.

Crew 3 will finish in Woodlands, then move into Jutland Ridge and Sun Meadows.
