Snow Removal Update- January 16, 2026
The fluctuating temperatures are creating hazardous conditions throughout town. Crews are applying rock chips to trails; however, melting during the day results in a new layer of ice forming overnight. Residents choosing to walk outdoors are encouraged to use cleats and a walking stick or ski pole for added stability. A complimentary sand–salt mixture is also available outside the Public Works yard at 4505 50 Ave; You will find the container on the road near the gate. Please bring a container and scoop.
All crews continue to focus on residential snow removal and operation will continue through the weekend. Residents are asked to remove vehicles from roadways and stay informed by checking the Neighbourhood Rotation List on stonyplain.com/snow.
