Snow Removal Update- January 2, 2026

Crews focused on removing snow on collector roads. The driving lanes have been opened up on Westerra Drive, Genesis Drive, Wood Avenue and Boulder Boulevard.

On December 31, the recycling collection in Westerra and Genesis was interrupted as the roads crew was in the process of removing snow on the collector roads. The recycling contractor will return to complete the recycling collection following the regular routes on January 2 and 3rd.

The snow continues to come down, covering a thick layer of ice from rain earlier this week. On Saturday, January 3 the crew will prioritize plowing arterial roads and ice control around town. There will be no snow removal over the weekend.

The plan for Monday, January 5th is to remove the snow in the downtown core and open the downtown business back alleys. This includes the residents that front 48 street with only back alley access. If conditions allow, the team will remove snow on the collector roads in Graybriar, Silverstone and on Fairways Drive.

Residential snow removal is scheduled to begin Tuesday, January 6. Crews will be placing signs on roads the night before removal is planned.
