Snow Removal Update- January 6, 2026
Crews are focused on Ice Control at intersections, Residential Snow Removal, removing snow in Downtown Business Alley and Primary Access Alleys.
On January 7th, one crew will continue removing snow in the Fairways, and the other crew will continue in The Brickyard and then move into Woodlands if time allows. The last crew will continue removing snow in Primary Access Alleys then move to widening arterial roads to improve visibility at intersections.
Crews intend to remove the snow back to the curb, this requires more than one pass on roads, residents are reminded avoid parking on the roads until all signs have been removed. When they begin a street they will continue until it is finished for the day.
Signs will be posted at the entrances to where there will be snow removal. Not all streets will be sign posted. Residents are encouraged to subscribe to the Snow Removal Newsfeed to receive the most accurate and up-to-date information.
Neighbourhoods are cleared in a rotating order, which is posted at stonyplain.com/snow. Snow clearing will not occur on garbage days, schedules may be adjusted to accommodate garbage collection days.
To help crews move efficiently and keep things moving for everyone, please be a good neighbour and:
• Remove all vehicles from the roadway
• Remove driveway curb ramps
• Remove temporary obstructions like basketball hoops
