St. Andrews House Fire

The Stony Plain Fire Department is investigating a house fire following an early morning blaze. Crews responded to the fire at 5:46AM.

“The home on St. Andrews Drive was fully engulfed upon arrival. Fire fighters were able to get the fire under control within half an hour, however; there was also slight damage to the adjacent property,” says Deputy Fire Chief Dennis Wichuk. “One person was in the home at the time of the fire. They managed to escape themselves and were taken to Westview Health Centre for assessment.”

The corner of St. Andrews Drive and St. Andrews Avenue was closed for approximately four hours but has since reopened.
