Stony Plain Lions Club Sponsor New Community Bulletin Board

Stony Plain is welcoming a series of new community bulletin boards. The latest addition has been installed at 28 Street and 44 Avenue in partnership with the Stony Plain Lions Club.

The installation of new community bulletin boards falls under Stony Plain’s Signage Strategy, an ongoing initiative to improve signage quality and consistency throughout Stony Plain. The bulletin boards include space for community members to post information as well as sections dedicated to private advertisement and Town-related updates.

“The new community bulletin boards are a key part of Stony Plain’s Signage Strategy and contribute to improving connectivity between residents, local business, and the Town,” says Senior Communications Officer Stephanie Barsby Boisvert. “This new board is a joint venture with the Town of Stony Plain and the Stony Plain Lions Club who generously sponsored half of the project costs.”

“It is great to see new boards around town, and we are thankful to the Lions Club for sponsoring this community bulletin board at 28^th Street and 44^th Avenue. These boards are an important element of building community, and work to improve communication between different organizations and our residents,” says Mayor William Choy. “Be sure to stop by the bulletin board on your next outing to learn more about what is going on in the neighbourhood!”

“Supporting our community and contributing to improving resident well-being has always been a priority for the Lions Club. For the past 65 years, we have worked together with the Town to support our community when and where we can,” says Stony Plain Lions Club President Joan Lubbers.

The Stony Plain Lions Club has been active in Stony Plain for 65 years. The group provides sponsorship and support to several organizations and initiatives throughout the community and beyond.
