Summer Sessions Concerts are Ready to Entertain This Summer

Summer Sessions are back, bringing music and entertainment to Stony Plain. Free weekly concerts will be hosted at Heritage Park from mid-June through to early August.

Each year, the Town of Stony Plain hosts a summer-long concert series featuring a new artist each week with free admission for all guests. Summer Sessions will take place every Wednesday evening beginning June 14 with the final show on August 2. Gates will open at 5:30PM each night and special guests will take the stage at 6:30PM with headliners at 7PM. Refreshments will be available for purchase on-site and guests are also welcome to bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages.

“Summer Sessions are a cultural treasure in Stony Plain. Each year, incredible Canadian artists take stage, bringing the community together,” says Mayor William Choy. “This event also attracts visitors, stimulating our tourism economy. Whether you are a long-time resident, new to the community, or just stopping by, come out, relax, and enjoy the music during these beautiful summer evenings.”

This year’s lineup includes:

  • June 14: Téa G
  • June 21: Ashley Ghostkeeper
  • June 28: The Dead Reeds
  • July 5: Justin Hogg
  • July 12: Melafrique
  • July 19: Brigade
  • July 26: River City Playboys
  • August 2: Steve Newsome

“This year’s amazing lineup features many nationally recognized artists,” says Culture and Tourism Development Officer Chantelle Laberge. “Summer Sessions is known for the talented artists it showcases, and draws music lovers from around the region to Stony Plain. It is a great ambassador for our community and the amazing culture we have.”
