What to Expect on Election Night in Stony Plain

STONY PLAIN, AB: Residents will head to the polls on Monday, October 20, to elect six Councillors for the next four years. Voting stations will be open from 9 AM to 8 PM at Heritage Park (5100 41 Avenue) and the Best Western Inn & Suites (3101 43 Avenue).

Unofficial election results will be available online beginning the evening of October 20 at www.stonyplain.com/election. Once there, click 2025 Election Results to access live updates.

Because ballots are counted by hand, updates are expected to begin around 9:00 PM and will continue throughout the evening and possibly into the following day until all votes are tallied. All results will remain unofficial until Friday, October 24, 2025, at 12:00 PM, when official results are declared.
