Governance & Priorities Meeting Highlights for April 4, 2022

Culture and Tourism Annual Update

Growing Stony Plain’s cultural economy is a key priority for Council. An annual update on culture and tourism development in Stony Plain was provided to Council during last night’s meeting.

Culture and tourism development is guided by two documents: The Arts, Culture and Heritage Action Plan and the Tourism Master Plan (TMP). The Arts, Culture and Heritage Action Plan was completed in 2020 and outlines outlines Stony Plain’s commitment to its cultural industries and identity over a five-year period. The TMP acts as a roadmap to guide tourism growth over the next 10 years.

Both plans can be viewed on the Stony Plain website.
