Stony Plain Celebrates Staff Members at the Annual Long Service Awards

STONY PLAIN, AB: The Town of Stony Plain is celebrating its staff members with the annual Long Service Awards, recognizing employees who have dedicated years of service to supporting and improving the community. This year, 16 staff members will be honoured for their significant contributions and years of service. These awards exemplify the Town's deep appreciation for the loyalty, dedication, and continued efforts of its employees, whose long-standing commitment has been instrumental in building a strong and vibrant community. Each recipient’s work has contributed to the development of Stony Plain, from behind-the-scenes operations to community-facing services that directly impact residents.

In addition to celebrating long service, the Town is proud to highlight the importance of continuous professional development, in alignment with our Core Values and Leadership Principles. We have many employees who engage in further education and professional development. This year, we specifically recognize one employee who has achieved a master’s degree. This achievement reflects the Town’s belief that investment in individual growth and education will lead to organization excellence and expertise.

"Our staff’s dedication and commitment are what make Stony Plain a thriving community,” says Town Manager Tom Goulden. “This year, we’re recognizing 16 employees whose years of service span from 5 to 25 years, and one individual for an advanced educational achievement. Their hard work and continuous growth not only enhance the organization but also have a lasting impact on our community.
