If you have incurred damage to your property or had an injury and you believe the Town may be responsible, the first step is for you to submit a claim.
Depending on the type of claim, you may need to provide one or more of the following to prove your claim:
- Exact date of the incident
- Exact location (street address or intersection) of the incident
- Nature of injury or property damage
- Proof of your damage by collecting and submitting all relevant evidence, including names of witnesses and before/after photographs of the damaged area/injury
- Receipts for expenses incurred as a result of the incident
- Why you believe the Town is responsible for your loss
When submitting your claim to the Town, please fill out the eClaims form to the best of your knowledge and upload all relevant documents that support your claim. If you are unsure how to file a claim, please contact claims@stonyplain.com. You can expect an acknowledgement email within 3 business days of receiving the online claims form. Review of claims submissions may take up to 60 days.
Please note that the Town is not liable unless negligence is proven.
