Need to report a collision?

If you've been involved in a collision in Stony Plain, Spruce Grove, or Parkland County, please click on the accordion below to find details on reporting the incident.

If you are involved in a collision within the Parkland RCMP detachment service area (including City of Spruce Grove, Town of Stony Plain, and Parkland County), it must be reported at the Spruce Grove Collision Reporting Centre (36 5 Avenue, Spruce Grove, inside the Protective Services Building).

Effective November 17, 2023, the Parkland RCMP detachment no longer processes collision reports. Collisions must be reported in person at the Spruce Grove Collision Reporting Centre, weekdays between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM

A Collision Reporting Centre is an independently owned and operated facility where members of the public can report traffic collisions to meet provincial legal requirements and insurance needs. The Spruce Grove Collision Reporting Centre is operated by Accident Support Services International Ltd. and is not managed or operated by the City of Spruce Grove.

A collision must be reported if:

  • The combined damage to all vehicles and property involved is more than $5000
  • There are injuries, even minor

Important: the collision must be reported to the closest collision reporting centre to where the collision occurred – not the location closest to your home address.

For more information, visit the Spruce Grove Collision Reporting Centre website operated by Accident Support Services International Ltd.

Non-emergency police reporting

Albertans can report non-emergency crimes by calling 310-RCMP (7267). This toll-free number connects callers to the Alberta RCMP Operational Communication Centre, helping streamline non-emergency reporting and reduce 911 congestion.

What is a non-emergency?

  • No immediate threat to life or safety

  • Incidents that have already occurred (e.g., break-ins, minor collisions)

  • Scams without loss of money or personal information

  • Lost or damaged property valued under $5,000

How to report:

  • Call 310-RCMP (no area code needed, free anywhere in Alberta)

  • Report online at www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/ab or via the Alberta RCMP app
