Tax, Utility, and Online Services

The Town of Stony Plain is moving to a new utility and tax billing system because the current system has reached the end of its life. For most residents, the transition will result in minimal disruption, with the main changes being a new bill format and the temporary removal of the existing online portal.

Complete the Tax Certificate form to request a copy of a tax certificate.

  • March 2026: The current Online Services Portal will no longer be available
  • April 2026: Utility bills issued in a new format

  • Utility bills will look different starting in April 2026
  • Bills will include more detailed usage information, and going forward will show month-to-month usage graphs
  • The current Online Services portal will be permanently removed on March 12, 2026 with a new and improved online portal available later in 2026

  • Account numbers will stay the same
  • E-billing continues for those already signed up
  • Payments can still be made:
    • In person at Town Hall
    • Through your bank
    • By pre-authorized payment
  • No late fees or penalties are expected due to the transition

Updates will continue to be shared on this page and through Town communications channels.

If you have questions, please visit Town Hall at 4905 51 Avenue or call 780-963-2151.

A new Online Services Portal will launch later in 2026, offering convenient access to your municipal accounts and services. It will also include enhanced features compared to the previous portal, giving residents more detailed information about their property taxes and utilities.

Through the portal, residents can:

  • View utility account information
  • Access property tax details
  • Manage e-billing
  • Make payments online

This page will be your central source for updates and important information throughout the transition to the new system.
