    Paving starts today on Downtown Redevelopment! If the weather cooperates, sidewalks are next, and scheduled for this weekend.

  • Highway 779 Update October 30

    Alberta Transportation has informed the Town that weather conditions have halted operations on Highway 779 for 2019 construction season. There will be some final work completed this week including sign installation, line painting between Willow Park Road South and 57 Ave, and pot hole repair before the site is cleaned up.

  • Downtown Redevelopment Update September 27

    All the underground work for the Downtown Redevelopment Phase II and III project is done! Now the exciting above ground work can begin.

    Alberta Transportation has opened Highway 779 south of Willow Park Road. ---.

  • New Crosswalk on Willow Park Road

    Trail Access Added to St John Paul II School. A crosswalk has been installed just east of the corner of Highway 779 and Willow Park Road (north entrance) to accommodate pedestrian access to St.

  • 57 Avenue Extension Update

    Road work is underway on the extention of 57 Avenue including preliminary grading and construction of the north storm water ditch. The future road will service the new Stony Plain Central school site.

  • Downtown Redevelopment - September 6 Update

    Main Street, from 53 Avenue to 52 Avenue, is now open to pedestrian traffic.

  • Highway 779 Detour

    The detour for the Highway 779 Road Closure from Highway 628 to Willow Park Road (south entrance) is now in effect. Willow Park Road is a residential area and not part of the detour route.

  • CN Rail Crossing Maintenance

    CN has notified the Town of Stony Plain of the following rail crossing closures:. Thursday, August 22, 2019 – 50 Street: 7:00 a. m. -6:00 p. m.
