2025 Municipal Election Results

Crack sealing on Stony Plain roads is set to begin June 3 and will continue for approximately one week. There will be minimal disruption to traffic during the sealing process.
An open house for Stony Plain Central School Servicing Project will be held on Wednesday, July 10 from 4-7pm at the Stony Plain Community Centre (5008-51 ave). The project will involve extending the road from the west end of 57 avenue, and installing new underground infrastructure and a round-a-bout.

With the next phase of Downtown Redevelopment set to begin this June, the Town has developed a downtown parking map to help outline available on-street and off-street spaces. .
Main Street from 53 Avenue to just south of the 51 Avenue intersection will be closed for construction from approximately June 3 to the end of the 2019 construction season. During this time there will also be modified pedestrian access to the area.
Alberta Transportation is still on track to start work up again on Hwy 779 on Tuesday, May 21. st.
Alberta Transportation has informed the Town that construction on Highway 779 should recommence on approximately May 21. The work will begin with widening on the West side of the road at 57 Avenue and continue North.
Minor construction activities on Veterans Boulevard is beginning for the 2019 season. The work will be primarily to finish off the boulevards, mainly south of Fairway Drive.
Canadian National Railway has informed the Town that it will be conducting its annual vegetation control program. .
The Town of Stony Plain is gearing up for another construction season; the largest and most exciting project is the Downtown Redevelopment. Administration presented an update to Council at Monday evening’s Regular Council Meeting.
