Filed Notice of Intent

The Register of Candidates is a record of all candidates who have filed their notice of intent with the Town to seek nomination for office in the next election. Filing a Notice of Intent does not mean a candidate is officially nominated. To appear on the ballot, candidates must submit completed nomination papers before September 22, 2025 at 12 PM.

A register of all candidates that have given notice to run and the register will be publicly available until December 31, 2025. 

Candidates who plan to run in the 2025 municipal election can only accept campaign contributions and incur campaign expenses once their notice of intent to run is complete and they are added to the Register of Candidates.

2025 Stony Plain Election Candidates

The individuals listed below have officially submitted their nomination papers and are registered candidates for the 2025 Stony Plain municipal election. Only those who have completed the nomination process will appear on the ballot. Candidate nominations will remain open until September 22, 2025 at 12 PM, and this section will be updated as candidates submit completed nomination papers.
