The Town of Stony Plain maintains local roads throughout the year to support safe travel and keep transportation routes in good condition. Seasonal road maintenance activities may include street sweeping, pothole repairs, surface patching, line painting, signage, and other roadway upkeep as needed.
Street Sweeping
Each spring, the Town sweeps streets to remove sand, debris, and litter left behind after winter, helping keep roads clean, safe, and in good condition. Residents can help by watching for signage, moving vehicles off the street, and removing driveway ramps when sweeping is scheduled in their area.
Temporary signs will be posted in neighbourhoods before street sweeping begins. These signs let residents know when sweeping is scheduled on their street. Residents are asked to move vehicles off the road during scheduled sweeping times so crews can fully clean the area. Please remove driveway ramps, basketball nets, and other removable items near the curb so sweeping equipment can access the street edge.
