Night construction will take place January 29 on the west end of 52 Avenue for sanitary line improvements. Work will continue on January 30.
The Town of Stony Plain will once again host their Annual Christmas Tree Chipping Event to help residents dispose of their Christmas trees. Mayor William Choy, along with members of Town of Stony Plain Administration, will participate in the tree chipping event.
The numbers are in: Stony Plain’s residential permits are valued at $26 million and industrial has climbed to $10 million. Both figures represent significant increases compared to previous years.
Alberta Transportation has informed the Town that streetlight installation along Highway 779 (48 Street) is underway. TB Traffic will be working on streetlight bases along the east side of Highway 779, from Genesis Lake Boulevard to Highway 628 (79 Avenue) for the next few weeks.
Beginning December 12 to approximately December 19, night construction will take place on Main Street from 52 Avenue to just north of the 50 Avenue intersection for sanitary line improvements. All work will be completed between the hours of 6:00 p. m.

After years of planning, the Town of Stony Plain and the City of Spruce Grove are gearing up to combine their two accessible transportation services into one. The current HandiBus Program and Specialized Transit Service (STS) will merge to establish a single Accessible Transportation Service (ATS).
Fees and Charges Bylaw Given First Reading. Council gave First Reading to the Fees and Charges Bylaw after Administration reviewed Town fees as part of the corporate planning process.
