What to Expect on June 15

Get ready to discover Downtown Stony Plain while enjoying tasty food and entertainment, experiencing local businesses, and enjoying numerous activities provided by our event partners. Check out the information below to see what to expect at the June 15 Midsummer Thursday. More will be confirmed and added to the roster before the event.

Eats & Treats 

Plan to enjoy a mouth-watering meal and dessert at different vendors and Downtown Stony Plain restaurants! Outdoor and indoor seating is provided.

Business Booths 

Members of Stony Plain's business community will occupy Main Street market style, offering products for purchase, samples and demonstrations, activities and more!

Main Street will be closed for the events and detours will be in place. Please refer to the maps below to plan your visit.

For Local Businesses 

Businesses can reserve a booth on Main Street to promote themselves, sell products, interact with attendees, give samples, offer entertainment, and encourage people to connect with them. 

How to get a booth 

Businesses located in Downtown Stony Plain have until May 12 to reserve a booth. On May 15, any remaining booths will be opened up to any Stony Plain business to participate in the action. To book a booth, email or call 780-231-8372. Refer to the the two maps linked below to identify the booth best suited for you.

  • Businesses are encouraged to reserve a booth for all three events.
  • We will work with businesses in the event area to ensure they receive a booth in front of their storefront.
  • Businesses located in Downtown Stony Plain that are not in the event area, including businesses located on side streets, will be as close to their business as possible.
  • Restaurants can request picnic tables to put in their booths to serve customers patio style.

Who can get a booth

Downtown Stony Plain businesses will be given priority to participate. On May 15, we will begin to accept booth requests from licenced businesses located anywhere in Stony Plain to fill the remaining booths. Priority will be given to retail businesses, artists, and crafters. 

Community Organizations
Community organizations that serve Stony Plain are invited to join the fun.

There are a variety of tasks for volunteers interested in supporting the event.

What to expect 

 As we confirm booth reservations, you’ll receive two information packages.

  1. Business Booth information. This will include information about set-up and take-down times, loading zones, safety information, etc. 
  2. Promotion kit. The promotion kit will include guidance and resources to help you promote the event to your network. The kit will include key messages, social media graphics, poster, and postcards.

Booth participants must provide their own tables, tents, chairs, etc., for their booths.
