Farmers' Days

The Town of Stony Plain in partnership with The Kinsmen Club of Stony Plain bring you The Farmers' Days Rodeo and Exhibition! This is a jam packed three-days of family fun and is the town's biggest event of the year! This year's event takes place from June 5 to June 7, 2026.

Park N Ride Service

The Town of Stony Plain has a FREE Park N Ride program offered throughout the Farmers' Days weekend. 

There is NO public parking on site at Heritage Park, or Pioneer Museum. Bus will pick up every 30 minutes, starting on the half hour. 

Saturday only: Bussing does not start running to Heritage Park from Park n Ride location's until 11:00 AM. Please be advised there could be transport delay due to parade in progress. 

Animals, with the exception of service/aid animals, will not be permitted on the bus. Absolutely NO alcohol is permitted on the bus.

Memorial Composite High School - located at 50 Westerra Centre (Regular bus & Accessible transportation available with ramp).

Mayor and Council Pancake Breakfast Saturday June 6, 2026

Come down to Glenn Hall Centennial Arena on Saturday for the Mayor and Council Pancake Breakfast. Hot and fresh sausages, pancakes, coffee, tea or juice. 

There is public parking on site for the Pancake Breakfast.

Accessible access is available on site.

Come early to avoid delay's.

After breakfast, take a walk to watch and enjoy everyone's favorite, The West Parkland Gas Co-Op Parade!

West Parkland Gas Co-Op Parade June 6, 2026

Join the excitement, at 10:00 AM, is start of the parade. While the Parade winds its way through the streets of Stony Plain covering areas such as down town and the Main St. 

The parade is a vibrant, community-focused, and family-friendly event, featuring colorful floats, live music, community groups, and equestrian entries. 

Remember this is a 5KM parade, typically drawing large crowds to line the streets, with all kinds of spots to sit and enjoy. 

 

Parade registration notes:

-Please read the full application as there has been changes made since 2025.

-Submit your completed application. We do know you will need time for the insurance documentation to accompany the application. All applicants will be following the same process.

-Upon review of application (ensuring all documents are submitted) you will receive a meeting date to attend in person for staging package. Meeting will be held locally in Stony Plain at 6:30 PM, on May 26, 2026.

Application

 

Please note the following detours will be in effect from 9:00 till noon or end of parade, on June 6, 2026.

-48st/Hwy 779 will be closed from 47 Ave to Willow Park Rd.

-Southbound traffic from Hwy 16A will detour east on 44 Ave to Golf Course Rd. Then south on Golf Course Rd. to Hwy 628 west, back towards Hwy 779. 

-Northbound traffic on Hwy 779 from Hwy 628 can either turn around at Willow Park Rd or use the horseshoe on Willow Park Rd to get back around to Hwy 779 southbound. 

-South to Hwy 628, then east on Hwy 628 to Golf Course Rd., west on 44 Ave will take traffic back to Hwy 779.

Kinsmen Rodeo

Join The Kinsmen of Stony Plain at the rodeo grounds for classic favourites including:

Calf Roping, Steer Wrestling and Bull Riding and much more..

Mutton Busting will take place Saturday and Sunday during the Rodeo Intermission.

The Heavy Horse Pull is FREE to watch Saturday starting at 5:00 pm.  Rodeo runs Saturday and Sunday.

Kids Korral

Our Kids Korral is located on the grounds of the Stony Plain and Parkland Pioneer Museum and all the activities are free of charge. This is a great alternative for children who may not be ready for some of the midway rides, or to add more family fun and excitement to your Farmers' Days weekend.

Kinsmen Saloon

The Kinsmen Saloon includes live entertainment each night. Individuals must be at least 18 years old for access to the saloon. There is a $5 cover charge after 7 pm on Friday and 5 pm on Saturday. Saloon is Family Friendly zone until 5:00 PM both Saturday and Sunday.

*Saloon sales are cash, debit and credit.  ATM's are available on site.
