Construction

TELUS has informed the Town civil construction on the PureFibre project is complete. Backfill work is complete and most visual signs of construction are gone with the exception of ongoing cable placement and splicing.

TELUS crews will be working on 48 Street near 55 Avenue beginning the morning of September 27. Be advised construction work will result in a single lane closure.

TELUS PureFibre construction is active in Southridge, The Glens, and Fairways. Feeder work is ongoing and TELUS is working on hole closures throughout town.

SEPTEMBER 16:. Construction is scheduled for September 19 - 23.

SEPTEMBER 16 UPDATE:. Construction work will continue during the week of September 19 - 23.

TELUS crews began construction in The Glens neighbourhood on August 22 and are preparing to begin work in Fairways this week. Please be mindful of crews at work and drive with care through constuction areas.

Base repair work on the Stony Plain Golf Course parking lot will begin on August 29.

Road construction on 79 Avenue from Range Road 11 to Range Road 12 will begin tomorrow (August 23). Work is expected to be completed by September 6, 2022.

Mainline civil construction will begin in The Glens neighbourhood today and hydrovac trucks and directional drilling equipment will be on-site. Work in the area will continue through the fall and is anticipated to be completed before the winter season.

Construction work on the catchbasin at the intersection of Golf Course Road and 44 Avenue is scheduled to begin the morning of August 17. Lane closures will be in affect and may impact traffic on 44 Avenue.
