A celebration of local literary talent, featuring a variety of authors. Attendees will have the chance to meet

Eight treasures to find around downtown/old town Stony Plain (walking-friendly). Each “treasure” will be a poetry themed activity with first, second, and third place prizes.

Youth Writers Workshop

A writing workshop for youth featuring a guest author who will guide participants through the writing process, offering tips and inspiration. In collaboration with the Stony Plain Youth Centre.

Tipi Teachings

Elder Phillip Campiou will set up a traditional Tipi in front of the library, share stories, and teach the art
of making Bannock. This event offers an immersive cultural experience.

Harvest Festival

In addition to the “old-time” harvest demonstrations there will be blacksmithing, machinery demos, model trains, scale model machinery, wood carving, live music, and much more.

Pottery Demonstrations and Studio Tour

Red Brick Common Open House

Explore our grounds and learn how the Red Brick Common preserves the history and culture of our town and the surrounding area. Tour our living museums, taste samples of the Red Brick Farms jams/preserves along with fresh bakery goods from The Sour Dough Lady Country Fresh Bakery. Learn about our art gallery firsthand and meet our curator during an open house and participate in a free tie-dye event – all you need to do is bring a t-shirt.

Puppet Show and Puppet-Making Workshop
