Whether for sports and recreational use, or to host an event, there are a wide variety of facilities to meet your needs. Recreation facilities are available for public use, schools, group booking, and private rentals.

The Glenn Hall Centennial Arena is located at 5300-52 Street. Named for NHL Hockey Hall of Famer and hometown hero—Mr. Goalie—Glenn Hall Centennial Arena features an 80-foot mural celebrating his career and life in Stony Plain. Features and Amenities

Arena Rental |
|
Glenn Hall Centennial Arena is available for group and private rentals. Arena Rental Rates are subject to annual increase. Ice season runs mid-August to March, with dry floor rental available mid-April to July. Regular season ice is primarily scheduled for local sport organizations (September to March on weeknights and weekends). For further information and availability, contact Recreation Services. |
Public Skating |

Free sponsored Public Skating at Glenn Hall Centennial Arena runs seasonally from September to March. Doors open 15 minutes prior to start time. For the safety of all skaters, hockey sticks and pucks are not permitted during public staking. Helmets are not mandatory but strongly encouraged for children's safety. Public Skating begins on August 26, 2024. Public Skating times are as follows: Mondays: 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM (Note: August 26, 2024 skating is from 3:30 to 4:30 pm) Tuesdays: 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM (Parent-Tot Skate) Wednesdays: 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM (Note: August 28, 2024 skating is from 3:30 to 4:30 pm) Thursdays: 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM Saturdays: 6:00 PM to 7 PM
Please note that the last day for public skating in 2025 is Tuesday, March 25, 2025.

Located at 5210-55 Avenue, the Stony Plain Outdoor Pool has been making a splash in the community for more than 50 years. The Town of Stony Plain works collaboratively with the TransAlta Tri Leisure Centre to operate the six-lane outdoor pool from mid-May to the end of August. View Pool Information for details. |
