Alberta Transportation has updated the Town on the Highway 779 construction project. The milling and paving of the northbound lanes was completed on Wednesday, July 14.
Completion of the Umbach Dog Park Road reconstruction project is behind schedule. The contractor is currently projecting that the road will be open to traffic on Saturday, July 24.
Land Use Bylaw Given Second and Third Reading. After an initial Public Hearing, the Land Use Bylaw was given second and third reading during last night’s meeting.
The Town of Stony Plain is bringing back the annual Outdoor Movie, but this year community members are in for a three-film special feature. This year’s Outdoor Movie will take place at Heritage Park on Saturday, August 7.
Alberta Transportation has provided the following update on Highway 779 Construction:. Line painting will continue this Friday and Saturday, between Willow Park Road North and 55 Avenue, on both the north and southbound lanes.
Storm main work continues after the high temperatures last week. Crews have returned to normal work hours.
Road construction at Umbach Dog Park is progressing. While the majority of construction will be complete this week, the road will open to traffic next week to allow for fencing and landscape work to be finished.
The Town of Stony Plain’s 2020 Annual Report is now available to the public. Each year, the Town publishes a report outlining major milestones, initiatives, and projects within the community as well as a clear and accurate financial report.
Environmental Master Plan and Stewardship Strategy Presentation to Council. Council accepted the Environmental Master Plan and the Environmental Stewardship Strategy for information.
Update July 5. 2021: Reservoir levels have recovered and the water supply has returned to normal conditions.
