Timelines for the Downtown Redevelopment project have been impacted by recent rain. At present, the project is behind the originally projected schedule.
Alberta Transportation (AT) has informed the Town that inclement weather has caused delays over the last two weeks. Despite the rain delays, work continues on the 48 Street (Highway 779) Grade Widening Project.

Cultural Campfires return for the second year with new stories and storytellers. This summer, Stony Plain Family and Community Support Services, in partnership with the Multicultural Heritage Centre is bringing eight cultural campfires to our community.

The Town has been informed that access to 50 Avenue at the intersection of 48 Street is currently closed for Alberta Transportation’s Highway 779 construction project. The intersection is scheduled to be paved and reopened to traffic by end of day Wednesday, July 29.
Alberta Transportation’s (AT) Highway 779 Project continues with grade widening between 57 Avenue and 55 Avenue. Curb and gutters are scheduled to be poured this Friday (June 26) and Saturday (June 27).
