An update to the Highway 779 construction project has been provided by Alberta Transportation. On Monday, July 26 construction crews will be milling the centre southbound lane between 55 Avenue and 53 Avenue.
Golf Course Road construction is progressing. Concrete work is primarily complete and crews will begin ripping up the road surface on Saturday, July 24.
Umbach Dog Park Road is almost complete. The road will reopen to traffic and four-legged park users on Saturday, July 24.
The final phase of Downtown Redevelopment is on schedule. Storm main work has been completed and electrical work is progressing.
The Town of Stony Plain is beginning its annual recruitment of residents to participate on multiple Council-appointed advisory boards. Applications for Citizen at Large boards are now open to Stony Plain and Parkland County residents.
Stony Plain’s biggest event of the summer is back! The Town of Stony Plain and the Stony Plain Kinsmen Club will host Farmers’ Days Rodeo & Exhibition from August 20 to 22 at Heritage Park.
Storm main work on the final phase of Downtown Redevelopment is almost complete. Crews have also been removing weeds from the planters along Main Street.
Alberta Transportation has updated the Town on the Highway 779 construction project. The milling and paving of the northbound lanes was completed on Wednesday, July 14.
Completion of the Umbach Dog Park Road reconstruction project is behind schedule. The contractor is currently projecting that the road will be open to traffic on Saturday, July 24.
Land Use Bylaw Given Second and Third Reading. After an initial Public Hearing, the Land Use Bylaw was given second and third reading during last night’s meeting.
